Externship Agreement Form

Externship

Now, you don’t have to be within the confines of the workplace to engage in the issues significant to human rights. You could be miles and miles away from the place of work and still contribute positively to those whose lives have been affected by gross human rights violations. You could be in any state, city, or region of India and yet participate in the programmes and activities of Amnesty International India.

No, we are not talking about the AII membership. What we are referring to is Externship. The term itself explicitly suggests that it is not limited to the workplace. In fact you don’t have to work from the office; you could be at your home and yet make a difference! Like a filament weaving its various patterns- azure, violet, crimson or jade, you could knit your own patterns for a peaceful and an equal world within the larger Amnesty network.

What you could do-

  • Identify a human rights issue in your region on which you would like to work, of course within the structural framework of Amnesty International India.
  • You could also be involved in Amnesty membership growth and activism or take a lead in forming Amnesty clubs within your region

Who can apply & How to apply-

  • Anyone can apply regardless of what educational background he or she comes from.
  • You can mail your CV with a cover letter to meha@amnesty.org.in mentioning at least one human rights issue in your region which deeply interests you.
