Screenwriting
If you're a writer that nobody's heard of or read, this is one of the best ways to get through the door.
All entries must include an original screenplay between 70 and 150 pages, a completed entry form, a signed release form, a short synopsis. |
Your submission must be an original screenplay (no adaptations unless you have the rights to the work you are adapting) written in the English or Hindi language. The screenplay submission must NOT be published, produced, sold. |
Screenplays must be between 70-150 pages in length. All pages must be numbered, and no writing is permitted on the spine of the script. |
Your name should NOT appear anywhere on the script. Personal information should only be included on the entry form you submit along with each script. |
A short synopsis (no more than one page) must be included for the screenplay you submit. Only the title of your screenplay should appear on the synopsis. Your name or other personal information should NOT appear anywhere on the synopsis. The synopsis will NOT be used to judge the screenplay; it will only assist in our tracking process. |
Judging will be anonymous. Your name, address, phone number, email (if available), and title of your screenplay should be included on a cover page that is NOT attached to the script (this is not necessary in the case of online entries). Your name should NOT appear anywhere on the script. Each screenplay will be tracked and judged by a number that we will assign which will be linked to your personal information to ensure an impartial process. All judges’ decisions are final. |
Script collaborations are allowed, however, each writers name must be included on the entry form, and the work must be the sole and exclusive property of all entrants. In the event that a collaborative script is judged to be a prize-winning entry and/or the script submission is awarded a draw prize, the winners are responsible for division of the prizes awarded. |
